Rory E. Lee opens Pizza @ The Beach — Saturday 8 August

Rory E. Lee opens the season for us on Saturday 8 August, playing two one-hour sets from 6.30pm as the sun goes down over Porth Tyn Tywyn. Sunset is at 21:01, so there's a good long evening in it.

He's Anglesey's own and you've probably already seen him — the Bulkeley, the Bridge Inn at Menai Bridge, Soft Sundays at the Boathouse in Holyhead. Laid-back Americana, country and blues, with a bit of eighties and pop reworked in his own acoustic style. He's been playing live since he was a kid, started out in punk bands, toured Britain and Europe, and has done live sessions on BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music along the way.

When Rory finishes at 8.30pm, Scragga takes over on the decks and runs it till late.

It's also the first night the bar is open — the bar runs from the 8th to the 31st, every day except Tuesdays.

Free entry, no tickets, no booking. Pizza out of the oven all evening. Just turn up and find a spot in the dunes.
