Go Cat DJs played the dunes on Sunday 9 August — Gareth and Jim, two turntables under the canopy, and a bag of records going back thirty years.
They've been Go Cat since the mid-nineties, having cut their teeth playing hip hop at the Waterloo in Bangor and never really stopped. Most of the time they're the ones banging out the amens and old-school jungle rollers, and they've earned the right to: sets alongside Remarc, Warlock and Serial Killaz, and appearances at Definition, Locked, Kaya Fest, Pirate Audio, Tonnau and Gottwood.
Sunday at Dreamboat was the other side of them: hip hop, funk, soul and dub, all on vinyl, played to the beach at sunset instead of a dark room at two in the morning. Old school in the way it's meant to be.
