If you know those records you already know what Sunday sounds like. If you don’t — think warm, slow, wide-open electronic music with no particular hurry to arrive anywhere. Nothing that asks you to do anything. The kind of set you can talk over, eat a pizza to, or stand at the edge of the dunes and not talk at all.
This is the most deliberately unhurried night of the whole month. Most evenings here build towards something; this one is built to spread out.
Three hours from six o’clock puts sunset at 20:27 roughly two-thirds of the way through. That’s not an accident of scheduling, it’s the whole point of a Balearic set — the music is written for exactly that hour, when the light goes orange and everybody stops talking for a minute. If you only come for one hour of this one, come for that one.
Ed plays Gottwood and Tonnau, both up the road at Carreglwyd Estate near Llanfaethlu — which a lot of you will have been to — along with U Know, Home of The Drum, and Hendre Hall, the old converted farm building at Talybont outside Bangor.
